Sunrise Tours

There is nothing in the world like seeing the sunrise in the Everglades!

This is a must do in my opinion! If you are an early riser and enjoy cooler morning, this for you. By the way there aren't many mosquitoes that time of day like people think. This is when you will find most wildlife, Anhinga feeding on fish, Blue Herons and Egrets fishing and turtles escaping from alligators. This also will be the time when you can find a lot of alligators swimming looking for food or mates. In the spring you will often sit and listen for alligators bellowing in search of a mate. Sometime we will hear several calling out for each other in the quiet morning.

In almost every month of the year here in South Florida it is warm, we do go through cooler periods, but because of the constant warm climate we live in Mid-March until November is when I recommend these tours because most of all animal and bird life will be seen early in the mornings. November is when its starts to cool off and you can find alligators all day seeking warmth. And most morning tours will be foggy and with high humidity, so we see thousands of reed spider webs in the brush with the dew on the webs glistening off the sunrise which makes for great pictures.

There really is no better way to spend the early morning and I love doing these tours at the crack of dawn so bring some coffee and let's go!

Sunset Tours

Sunset tips are cooler and bring out the best of the wildlife just before dark!

Late afternoon into early evening trips are some of the most fun trips you can have. Especially after a rain soaked afternoon from the typical afternoon thunderstorms we have from May through August. Some days it's just too hot to see a good amount of wildlife, but surely after a storm goes by and the sun starts to set you see all kinds of crazy things ...especially in late spring, Gators fighting is one thing I see a lot, I can’t promise you will see that on a sunset tour but the chance is much better sometimes I think I should call my tours Everglades alligator tours! The late afternoons are when the action starts! Gators come out, the birds are trying to eat before dark, and there are great opportunities for sunset photos of the Everglades.

Everglades airboat rides are special enough but one of the best things to do is sit still on an airboat on the "River of Grass" and listen to the wind blow while the sun is getting lower is an amazing experience, the colors changing from the day to twilight and you listen to the "Seminole wind"...... what an amazing place to be. Bringing beer or wine or even whiskey is ok on a sunset airboat ride, just not for me!

Pricing remains the same for sunset and sunrise tours, just different times of the day. Contact me for details.
